This is my “go to latte” whenever I feel I need a boost in everything, it is full of anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. it is also a powerful beverage to look after my mental wellbeing too.
Ingredients (strong brew):
2 cups coconut milk (or any plant milk you prefer) 椰奶
10g fresh ginger or 1 -2 tsp ginger powder 姜
15g fresh turmeric or 1-2 tsp turmeric powder 黄姜
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder 肉桂粉
1/4 tsp black pepper, preferably freshly ground 黑胡椒
1/4 tsp nutmeg powder （as topping）豆蔻粉
1/2 tsp pure honey or pure maple syrup (optional) 蜂蜜或枫糖
Do it in Thermomix way:
Place ginger and turmeric into Thermomix mixing bowl, turn 10 second, speed 8-10. Scrap down the mixture and blend again if required.
Add all other ingredients into the mixing bowl except nutmeg.
Turn 30 seconds, speed 8-10 to pulverize all mixture together.
Turn 6 mins, temp 60-70C, speed 4.
For frothing latte, turn 30seconds to 1min, speed 9-10.
Sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon. Serve your freshly brew golden latte immediately. Your body and mind will thank you for it!
Note: please feel free to reduce the herbs to suit your taste. I like the stronger taste of ginger and turmeric, so I brew my golden milk the stronger way.
Do it in Conventional Way (Using Powder Herbs):
Heat all ingredients except nutmeg in a saucepan over medium heat, do not boil the milk, just warm it up to approximately 70C roughly. This process may take a few minutes only.
When it is ready, pour into a blender to froth your golden milk.
Sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon and serve immediately.
